POETRY
Mix and Blend.
Struggling I’m muddling through
Caught up in the instance of you
Reality bites. Like wind in the kites
I keep gliding in and out of this ruse.
But whose to blame?
Should I hang my head in shame
While pointing fingers
Calling names?
Or should I recognise my lane
Is nothing more than
that what I've trained myself to accept
Through neglect of self respect due of traumas I’ve yet to transcend
We mix and blend.

Love is a Verb
Don't be absurd
Trying to tell me the thing that you heard
Actions have always been deafening cries
Stuck to the words of a lessening sky
Limits are tired
Limits are tired
Tests laid to rest by the depth of my sighs
Love is a verb.
Show me, show me, show me
You cannot overthrow my walls with stories tall
And actions small
Hear my call.
Those invited to the ball
Have balls of steel and hearts of gold
Soft and tender, strong and bold
I won't be told
I will not scold.
But to stay fabulous when old
Never past it
Everlasting
Standing true within my soul
Authenticity is gold
Cannot be bought, cannot be sold.
Love is a verb.
Bloom.
Let us leave the past in its righteous place
And march forth into a new light
Renewed by the knowledge of our higher selves
And our connection to all that is
Let us rejoice in the glory of living
Hide not in the shadows of our former selves
For every moment is a new beginning
And we pave the way to our harvest.
Let us sow seeds of Forgiveness
Of Compassion and Kindness
Of Love and of Honesty.
But let us set boundaries
Speak our truths and stand up for what we believe in
See through the lies and deception before us
And use our discernment to decide where we put our trust.
We must not be sheep, blindly following orders from people we have never even met, people we do not even know, people we have not even laid eyes upon.
For how can he who has never walked in my shoes, dictate to me how I should live.
I am a free soul, a free spirit, a free mind and a free being. I have the right to decide how to live my life, I have the right to decide what goes into my body,
I will not be manipulated in to thinking otherwise.
I will not give my power away.
I will rise up, no matter what is thrown at me
I will rise up, no matter how hard the fight
I will crawl through the dirt and be cleansed by the earth
Because I know my worth.
I will rise up
With roots anchored deep in the core of her womb
I fear no tomb
I will rise up
Because I’m here to bloom.
