Biography

From the vibrant unity of Norwegian and Jamaican heritage, PANTHER1NA embodies the cultural melting pot that is London. Her journey through music began in childhood, shaped by the rich diversity of her mother’s eclectic record collection. This early exposure to an array of genres was complemented by formal training under concert pianist Ariana Prussner, who cultivated her skills in piano and singing, setting the foundation for her multifaceted musical career.

PANTHER1NA’s passion for electronic music blossomed in the underground warehouse rave scene of the early 2000s. In the tucked-away industrial spaces of London, she was captivated by the raw power of Drum & Bass, Techno, and House music. These formative experiences laid the groundwork for her evolving artistry and ignited a lifelong love affair with electronic music.

She has since spent over a decade honing her craft as a DJ and her sets reflect a deeply refined style, exploring groove-based incarnations of House; such as Funky, Disco, Tribal, and Deep. Her dynamic performances have graced iconic venues including Ministry of Sound, EGG and prestigious events like the Ambani pre-wedding celebrations. Her reputation as a versatile and engaging performer has also earned her numerous residencies across London’s thriving nightlife scene.

As a vocalist, PANTHER1NA’s résumé is as diverse as her influences. Never one to be confined by genre, she has contributed her talents to a variety of projects. Her writing and vocal work have appeared on songs licensed to Channel 4’s hit TV show Skins, and her music production credits include collaborations with Sony/ATV and EMI Publishing.

In 2012, she released her debut EP, Word On The Street, under the moniker AINA ROXX. The project showcased her genre-blending prowess, fusing heavy rock riffs, soulful vocals, punchy rap verses, and catchy hooks. The EP was a collaborative effort, engineered by Francesco Cameli at Sphere Studios and mixed by Adrian Hall (renowned for his work with Goldfrapp and Tori Amos).

Her live performance credentials are equally impressive. She toured as a member of the legendary Stereo MCs and is a resident singer at London’s famed Blues Kitchen, where her dynamic voice has captivated audiences.

Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be a landmark year for PANTHER1NA. With a pipeline of exciting new music and projects, she continues to challenge conventions and redefine what it means to be a true artist in the modern era. From her eclectic roots to her boundary-pushing present, PANTHER1NA remains a beacon of creativity and innovation in the global music scene.
